Zoophobus larvae and “century eggs” — frightening and intriguing phrases at the same time. These dishes became the highlights of the menu at Kitayskiy Privet, a café opened by Misha and Dasha Katsurina. The owners of “Privet” are great fans of Chinese cuisine, having sampled it at two hundred restaurants around the world while selecting the best (and the chef too).

The kitchen is headed by Chef Xiang and sous-chef Sun: the menu features practically none of the noodles and rice that everyone has grown tired of, but plenty of beef, duck, pork, chicken and lamb in spicy sauces, wood ear mushrooms and thick Asian soups. That said, flour-based dishes and rice are also present, but in a much smaller proportion than at other Chinese establishments.
The highlights are green beans with chili pepper and the chef’s signature potatoes with eggplant, which, they say, caused all the cafés in the vicinity of Ürümqi to close.

Зайшли з подругою, замовляли десерт. Видно, що готують самі, а не привозять. Орієнтир — вулиця Івана Франка. Місце нашого району, ходимо часто.
у липні відзначали тут невелику подію. На терасі тихіше, ніж усередині, і вигляд нормальний. Офіціант підказав, що взяти, і не помилився з рекомендацією. Порції такі, що вдвох можна брати одне гаряче на двох. Наступного разу візьму те саме.
Были в будний день, заказывали рыбу — приготовили ровно как просили. Кухня китайская, как и заявлено. Порции большие, вдвоём можно брать одну. Один раз сходить можно.
Були у липні — заклад приємно здивував. Кава нормальна, не кисла, зерно свіже. Замовляли Піца, чекали хвилин п'ятнадцять, що для повного залу нормально. Місце запам'яталось, будемо заходити.
Були ввечері після роботи: замовляли гарячі страви, принесли швидко й усе було гарячим. Вайфай є, пароль дають без питань. Поруч із метро Золоті ворота, 3 хвилини ходу. Непогано, але є куди рости.
на початку року відзначали тут невелику подію. Зал чистий, столи витирають одразу, посуд без слідів. Ставлю високу оцінку заслужено.
Ресторан розчарував. Обслуговування повільне, страви без смаку, а ціни завищені. Жодної атмосфери, просто розчарування. Не рекомендую!
