Park Maryy Zankovetskoi in Kyiv

The park was named so because in the 1930s, Maria Konstantinovna Zankovetska lived here with her niece’s family. She spent the last years of her life here and was buried at Baikove Cemetery. The Maria Zankovetska Memorial Museum is located in the centre of the park. A memorial plaque dedicated to Maria Zankovetska is installed on the façade of the building. By the way, Mariinsky Park has a monument to the great actress. There are many benches here. Many people come to walk with their children or simply sit on a bench and talk. A monument to Georgiy Gongadze and journalists who died for freedom of speech. It was unveiled here in 2008.

The «Maria Zankovetska» park is located at: between the «Palats Ukraina» and «Lybidska» metro stations, on a rectangular plot at the intersection of four streets: Velyka Vasylkivska, Tverska, Predslavynska and Sydora Kovpaka.
