Greek Square (formerly Moon Square) is one of the coziest places in Odesa and enjoys a particularly advantageous location in the city center. This explains its great popularity among Odesa residents and, especially, visitors to the Pearl of the South. With such a rich history and so many transformations, the square offers both modern cultural attractions and noteworthy historic buildings. At Greek Square, you can see: the Granite Steps, a favorite walking spot for local residents; the Heavenly Hundred Alley; a gazebo presented as a gift by Nikita Mikhalkov; and a bas-relief of Maxim Gorky carved in stone by Odesa pioneers
