The park’s territory is part of the natural forest that surrounded Kyiv from the south. The Holosiiv area is notable for the fact that in 1631, Kyiv-Pechersk Archimandrite Petro Mohyla established here the first known man-made park in Ukraine. Over time, the greenery merged with the surrounding forest and lost its identity.

In 1957, Holosiiv Park was established on the basis of the existing forest, named after the prominent Ukrainian poet Maksym Rylskyi. Architect Vadym Ladnyi, Z. H. Khlebnykov and engineer N. V. Pestryakov worked on its “cultivation”.

Обрали за відгуками, і вони не збрехали. Все організовано зрозуміло, витратив менше часу, ніж планував. Пікнік — усе пройшло без затримок і зайвих питань. Повернемось.
