Tsentralnyi Culture and Leisure Park ymeny Maksyma Horkoho in Kharkiv

Maxim Gorky Central Park of Culture and Recreation (Nikolayevsky or Country Park from its establishment until the revolution (1919); the Communal Park or Park of Communal Workers in 1920—1936, and a city park at all times) — the main park of Kharkiv. Before the 2010—2012 reconstruction, it occupied an area of more than 130 hectares and was bounded to the south by Vesnina Street and the former KhVVKIURV missile school complex, to the east by Sumska Street, to the north by the so-called “elite private residential settlement” (later, the road between Novhorodska and Sumska streets), and to the west by Dynamivska and Novhorodska streets and Sarzhyn Yar. It is currently officially limited to the fenced, protected area created during the reconstruction.
