Artylleryiskyi Park Leonyda Borysovycha in Odesa

This park is located on the site of the 2nd Jewish Cemetery, established in 1873 and barbarically destroyed by the Communists in the late 1970s (according to various sources, in 1976–1979). Burials had been prohibited about 20 years earlier. After destroying the cemetery, the Communists remembered that revolutionary Jeanne Labourbe had been executed in front of its fence in 1919. They took the trouble to rebuild the destroyed gates, though for some reason in a sealed-up form, and put up a commemorative plaque on them.

“Leonid Borysovych Artillery Park” is located at: opposite the Christian Cemetery, in the Red Cross area.
